My work reflects the relationships between jewellery and the human form. It investigates the dynamic connection between adornment, creative expression, daily rituals and embedded memory; they are to be worn and enjoyed; uniting the maker, the wearer and the viewer.

The repetitive nature of this work was influenced by the recurring character of the urban landscape we reside in. It evokes a sense of cyclic movement that we experience daily, moving from place to place. We are all aware of the subliminal significance of each colour used and the vital role they play. These works combine the use of acrylic reflectors that possess a jewel like appearance symbolic to the precious functionality of what may seem an ordinary and overlooked piece of equipment. Without these highly illuminated devices combined with our capacity to recognise them– chaos would certainly rein.
