People cook. People eat. People share food, and people use unique ritualistic processes to nourish their bodies. I am intrigued by the process of making food, and of making art, observing the former as fundamentally functional and the latter, arguably, as functionless. My current artists practice is based on responding to this idea that is integral to everyday living. With wool as my material and knitting as my applied method, I discuss how vital the process of cooking is, and how we choose to engage with it.
