The series of three works exhibited in the Urban Exhibition are inspired by my experience of highly urbanised environments, in particular the mega cities in Asia such as Tokyo, Hong-Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. When visiting these cities I was struck by several things including the frenetic and relentless activity that takes place 24 hours a day and seven days a week, the sheer number of people in one place, and, the constant light, neon and otherwise, which reached its fingers deep into the night, and stole my sleep.

This work tries to capture that fleeting moment where activity, light and  torrents of rain to create a spectacular urban beauty which quickly vanishes, reforms and rises again."
